March 30th, 2011Recieved SMS from Sender 'Free Laptop' saying there was a free windows 7 laptop available to o2 pay monthly customers. However after speaking to o2 Direct this isnt the case! Also, if you ring this number no one answers? How odd and how time wasting!

I called this number and was asked for my mobile number then was cut off. It is a company called Home Phones Direct. It took some questioning before even the company name was eventually given to me. Very dodgy situation. Dont answer any of their questions. The minute you give them your mobile number they cut you off.

Remember nothing is ever free! and if it looks to good to be true it probably is!
About time the advertising standards authority took on the SMS Marketeers too!!!!

yup just had the same message as above free laptop call before 6PM etc . Rung my supplier T-Mobile and was told not to respond or call and thanked me for the information i gave them .

My partner just got a text saying free windows 7 laptop for T-mobile pay monthly customers only. 1st come first served etc ring before 6pm!!! Didn’t think it was anything from t-mobile but rang from my home phone just in case. Took ages to answer no music played like when ringing t-mobile. Not sure what kind of scam it is but i am very sure it is a scam!!!
