January 14th, 2011Got a call from a lady who claimed the company she was ringing from were doing 'free computer health checks'. English was obviously a second language, but when I said i was already quite tech-savvy and could do this myself, she immeadiatly put the phone down! Who do I contact to make sure this 'scam' isn't tried on someone else who is a little more gullible? Crimestoppers?

this is a scam, totally ignore it

I just got a call from that exact same number claiming to be from Windows and saying that my pc has been infected with something (I’m anti-virused up to the eyeballs). When I told him I was with someone he got arsey and told me that I wasn’t busy as I was currently on my pc. I told him where to go and hung up immediately.

Got 3 phone calls from this number in one day. When I pick up phone and say hello, all I get is silence. It is most annoying, how can I stop these calls
