January 22nd, 2011My wife received a call from this number at 09:20 today 22/01/11 and they tried to get her to go to a pc to implement a fix to windows. They claimed to have had a report that it was running slowly (90% of pc are percieved to run slowly so this is a good angle for a con!). She told them to call back later when I am in so fi they do calll back it will be an intersting call as I know this is a con/scam of some description.
When I called the number it directed me into a full mailbox and allowed me to try to login to it.

MY WIFE WAS CALLED FROM THIS NUMBER TODAY, 22ND FEBRUARY, TOLD THAT HER P.C. WAS RUNNING SLOW, AND EVERY TIME SHE LOGGED ONTO THE INTERNET MALICIOUS SPYWARE WAS BEING DOWN-LOADED. THEY CLAIMED TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH MICROSOFT.
SHE HAD HEARD OF THIS SCAM, AS THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE TRIED IT. SHE TOLD THEM SHE DID NOT BELIEVE THEY WERE WHO THEY CLAIMED TO BE, AND THAT OUR SECURITY SOFTWARE WOULD PREVENT THIS KIND OF ATTACK. TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN AND HUNG UP.
